About Dr. Claudia Diez


Dr. Claudia Diez obtained a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the New School University in New York City and post-doctoral education from Harvard University (PON), New York University, and The William Alanson White Institute (couples therapy certification). Her clinical formation spans more than two decades of cross-cultural training and practice obtained in New York City and abroad (Buenos Aires and Córdoba, Argentina). She is a voluntary attending and Faculty member at Mt. Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine, and former Assistant Clinical Professor (psychiatry) at Columbia University. She is a certified Hogan’s personality and leadership evaluator.
Dr. Diez has expertise in individual psychotherapy (adults only) and marriage or couples counseling. Years of intensive hospital experience led to her keen diagnostic and clinical formulation skills. Having trained in most major lines of psychotherapy (Psychodynamic, CBT, AEDP, interpersonal, EFT, among others), she integrates them moment by moment as is the best fit, a flexibility that allows optimal interventions. Dr. Diez is also an executive coach.
